Massive Fundings

Freenome, a biotech company based in South San Francisco, has obtained $254 million in new financing led by Roche. Earlier and new backers, such as Andreessen Horowitz, BrightEdge Ventures, ARK Investments, ArrowMark Partners, Quest Diagnostics, Squarepoint Capital, and others, also participated in the funding round. The company has thus far raised a total of about $1.25 billion from investors.

Big-But-Not-Crazy-Big Fundings

Blueprint Finance, a New York-based developer of an on-chain credit market, has recently secured $7.5 million in funding. The funding round was co-led by Hashed and Tribe Capital, with participation from other investors such as SALT, Hypersphere, Lightshift, Awesome People Ventures, Veris Ventures, and others.

Smaller Fundings

Avatar Medical, a startup founded four years ago with offices in both Paris and Mountain View, California, has raised $5.4 million in funding. The company is led by GO Capital, with additional participation from Acorn Pacific Ventures, Plug and Play, Rives Croissance, and Cenitz. Avatar Medical has developed a service that converts traditional medical images into 3D visualizations. This technology aims to help both surgeons and patients better understand medical conditions and surgical plans.

Exponential Markets, a three-year-old NYC-based developer of fin risk mitigation tools, has secured $10.3 million in seed funding. The round was led by MaC Venture Capital and included participation from Citi, Autotech Ventures, and Avanta Ventures.

Silencio, a Munich-based startup, has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding. The company aims to reward individuals with its Noise Coin tokens for capturing noise levels using smartphones and reporting noise pollution. Borderless Capital led the funding round, joined by Moonrock Capital, Master Ventures, and other investors.
